Save water and Earn Extra Money

http://parth-dave.blogspot.com/
Water is probably the most needed substance in order for us to live. Without it, a person can die in just three days! And with the current condition of the Earth, we must start conserving these precious life-givers. We use water everyday, for drinking, taking a bath, washing our clothes, cleaning our car, cleaning our house, etc. But, as we go on with our lives, we seem not to notice that we just take water for granted. One must know that not all waters can be used up readily. Ocean waters contain high contents of salt that can be bad when too much is taken up. These waters undergo a special treatment in order to be potable. Without proper management, our supply of water is at risk and the balanced of the ecosystems will be in chaos

I hope that this blog will be an eye-opener for readers to appreciate water. Hey! you can save lots of money too!

Tip #1: Use meters

Water meters can be a good idea in conserving water. What it does is that, it records the amount of water a person uses. A person who watches his water consumption is more likely to conserve more on the next month. With this, he does not only reduce his water bills but also helping in preserving the Earth.

Tip #2: Rainwater Harvesting

Yes, indeed, you can save water with these. Letting these rainwaters go down through drainpipes of the house and then collecting it using a drum can save you lots of money and save potable water. Of course you cannot drink this, but you can use collected rainwaters to water your garden, clean your car, or flush your toilet.

Tip #3: Treat wastewater

Wastewaters are waters that came from sinks, baths and showers. They can be treated using physical filtration. Upon filtration, you can now use it to water your garden, clean your car, flush toilet and sometimes used in feeding washing machines. Another tip to save and give you extra money!

Tip#4: Aerated showerheads

A brilliant invention to save water. What it does is mix water with air giving more pressure saving you buckets of water. Feels great too when you're having your shampoo. I would highly recommend you get one of these!

Tip #5: Fix them up!

Yes! You've got to fix leaks and any dripping taps. This may save you lots of water in a month and can save you 5,500 liters of water in a year! Imagine, how much money you can save from it!

Tip #6: Washing food

Instead of washing your veggies, fruits and other foods from running water. Try to wash them in a bowl. It'll save you almost 5 -10liters of water or more. After washing, you may use it to water your plants.

Tip #7: Bucket and wash!

Avoid using garden hose and try using buckets to wash your cars. Eight liters of water are consumed for an average bucket compared to 200 liters when using garden hose.

Tip #8: Faucets

Oh well, the old time favorite, brushing teeth while the water is running. Either you wash your hands or you brush your teeth, try not to let the tap water run and instead open the faucet when needed. In fact, five liters of water is wasted every minute by just letting the water run through the faucet.

Well these are just some of my points, there are more ways on how you can save water. It'll just take you some creativity. Remember, save today and earn someday!

Hope this blog somehow helped you. Feel free to comment on. I encourage you to give out some of your own ideas. Thank you!
